Most prestigious Afrikaans literary prize for Tertius Kapp

The Hertzog Prize for Literature is the most prestigious Afrikaans literary prize in the world. It rotates by genre on a three-yearly basis, and all published dramas between 2012 and 2014 were considered for this year's prize.

The prize is given by the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns [the Academy for Science and the Arts/Humanities] and the winner is selected by an independent panel of judges. Tertius worked at our department between 2009 en 2012.
