The leitmotif of the 38th PLM is Linguistic topics at the start of the new century: an overview. The aim of PLM 2007 is to provide an overview of current topics in linguistics in the first decade of the 21st century.

Additionally, there will be a poster session. Its aim is to present research-in-progress in any field of linguistics and is adressed mainly to doctoral students who are at the outset of their reseach.
