Linguistic legacy of Ludwik Zabrocki (1907-1977)
This session is organized to honour the memory of Professor Ludwik Zabrocki, whose hundredth anniversary of the birthday we celebrate this year.
Professor Ludwik Zabrocki was one of the most prominent linguists in the 20th century and a co-founder of the Poznań School of Structural Linguistics. Professor Zabrocki's contributions to general linguistics, Indo-European and Germanic studies, comparative and historical linguistics (including the theory of sound change), structural phonetics and phonology, psycho- and sociolinguistics, cybernetic linguitics, contrastive linguitics as well as applied linguitics will remain alive in the 21st century, too. Although the language of the conference is English, in this section presentations in German will be also accepted. Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be submitted by e-mail to the PLM Organising Committee (plm@ifa.amu.edu.pl) in accordance with the general submission instructions. All participants must be registered for the conference. The registration form will be available shortly.
