Prof. Nerina Bosman
University of Pretoria, Afrikaans Department.
Nerina Bosman teaches Afrikaans Linguistics at undergraduate and postgraduate level and Applied Language Studies at postgraduate level. Her primary research focus is lexical semantics (especially corpus-based metaphor studies). She is chairperson of the Southern African Society for Netherlandic Studies and serves on the board of the International Society for Netherlandic Studies. Research Areas: Lexical Semantics, Lexicology, Sociolinguistics, Pragmatics. Current Research: Her current research is about forms of address in Afrikaans.
