The second of a series of four ELT presentations / workshops organized by the Center for English Language Teaching Materials will take place on
Friday, March 23rd, 2007 at 16:00, room 601A.
The presentation will be given by dr Jacek Rysiewicz
Title :Teaching Integrated Skills for Non-professionals. A crash-workshop for beginners.
The workshop is primarily meant for those of us who have been entrusted with teaching EFL courses against their explicit wish or implicit hope, and often perceive the task as a chore, a kind of sacrifice that must be made only to be able to apply themselves to a more worthwhile of many a scholarly endeavors. Acknowledging this fact makes the workshop's agenda easy to predict. The workshop, in general, will look into obvious solutions to obvious problems. Specifically it will go into practical ways of making the teaching more meaningful. And, to be even more specific, it will suggest how to teach the GE component of PNJA and be pleased with yourself, your students and the system that put you there, in the first place.
Attendance is obligatory for all PNJA teachers and for doctoral students at IFA, but everyone concerned about their professional development is welcome as well.
