Center for Canadian Literature of the Faculty of English hosted the 6th Congress of Polish Canadianists “The Peaceable Kingdom? Cultural and language communities in Canada and the rule of law", from 5th to 7th April 2013. The conference was organized by the Faculty of English and the Institute of Romance Studies.
Her Excellency Alexandra Bugailiskis, the Ambassador of Canada to Poland, addressed the delegates during the opening ceremony, which was followed by the inaugural plenary address by Prof. Kerstin Knopf (University of Greifswald). The second day of the conference started with a plenary lecture by Prof. Laurence Arrighi (Université de Moncton).
The conference featured two special sessions/meetings with Canadian writers: Andrew J. Borkowski and Norman Ravvin. See the photo coverage of this event.
