GradTalks logoWe kindly invite all students, PhD students and staff members to next week's GradTalks meeting - the fourth in a lecture series showcasing the work of MA and PhD students at the AMU School of Languages and Literatures. We will have the pleasure of hosting Tomasz Dyrmo and Patryk Dobkiewicz of the Faculty of English.

In this online session on MS Teams taking place on Friday, 5 June 2020 at 1.15pm, Tomasz Dyrmo will deliver the talk Gestural metaphorical scenarios in acts of self-disclosure and Patryk Dobkiewicz will deliver the talk Ideologically loaded language in conference interpreting: the case of the European Parliament.

GradTalks is a series of MA and PhD students' meetings organised by the WA PhD Student Council which continues the tradition of PhD Student Meetups. Its main goal is to provide a platform for young researchers willing to present their current research and to obtain some constructive feedback, as well as to hone their academic skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Each presentation is assigned 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
