In search of the logic of communication

We are pleased to announce that the programme of PLM 2006 will include a session on logical aspects of communication. Contributions matching one or more of the following descriptions are cordially invited:

Logic as a tool in linguistic research;
Logical description of natural language;
Logical formalization of various aspects of communication;
Inference, argumentation, persuasion, eristic and other issues of logical pragmatics.

Presentations will follow the usual format of twenty minutes for the presentation itself and ten minutes for the ensuing discussion. The language of the conference is English.

Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be prepared in accordance with the general submission guidelines and submitted by e-mail to lipowskaamu.edu.pl or to lapiswamu.edu.pl

Deadline for submission: 15 January, 2006. Notification of acceptance: 2 February, 2006.
