Venue and accommodation
The conference will take place in the buildings of the Collegium Iuridicum Novum (pictured above) and the adjacent Collegium Rubrum which are part of the University's Central Poznań campus.
The address is:
Faculty of Law of Administration
(Polish: Wydział Prawa i Administracji)
Aleja Niepodległości 53
61-714 Poznań
Link to Google Maps for navigation. Note that Google Maps Street View is available throughout Poznań (and Poland), and you can use it for better orientation. A virtual tour of the building is availble here.
The buildings are located in the northern part of Central Poznań, about 1 km north of the iconic Imperial Castle (Zamek) building. The two best methods of getting there are (1) by walking or (2) by public transport.
The Poznań Citadel, one of Poland's largest public parks on the grounds of a former German citadel, is witin easy walking distance.
By public transport
The buildings are easily reachable by public transport using bus lines 163, 168, 169 and 171, e.g. from the Zamek bus stop (Google Maps; 5 mins, 2 stops). Line 168 provides a direct connection from the railway station (9 mins, 4 stops).
Alight the bus at the stop named Urząd Marszałowski, and the two buildings are across the street. Public transport directions for Poznań are available on Google Maps and generally very reliable. You can also use local services such as Jakdojade.pl. Live times and mapped live vehicle locations are available e.g. from the Kiedypojadę app (Android, iOS) based on your location, and the Google Maps live times are generally the same. Please make sure you check data roaming charges with your mobile operator.
All trams and some buses offer contactless payment using your regular credit/debit card. Use the terminals with the black front (NOT the orange ones). You can check the appearance of the terminal and the markings to look for on vehicle doors here, with some more information here. Some bus and tram stops also have ticket machines selling paper tickets which also accept card payments. You need a 15-minute ticket (priced at 4 PLN) for rides to/from the central stops of Rondo Kaponiera and Zamek; for longer trips you will need a 45-minute ticket (6 PLN).
A general introduction to the public transport system is here.
By taxi/ride share
A taxi ride from the city centre to the venue should take about 5 minutes, depending on traffic, and cost less than 15 PLN (4 EUR).

Internet access
The two buildings, as well as all the other AMU buildings on the campus and in the centre, offer WiFi Internet access using the eduRoam scheme. If your home institution is a member of the system, you will be able to log on to the wireless network simply using your home login. We strongly recommend checking with your home institution to make sure you have your own eduRoam account and are able to log in wherever eduRoam is available.
For those of our guests who cannot take advantage of the above approach, we will offer a number of guest eduRoam accounts but these are limited in various ways due to the current cyber-security situation. We strongly recommend using your own eduRoam account.
Outside of AMU buildings, the centre of Poznań is covered by a free municipal network, wireless.poznan.pl. While limited in speed and requiring a log-on every hour, it is usable for emergency access.
The entire urban area has 5G mobile internet access. Note that roaming charges will apply to guests from outside the European Union; check these with your home operator. For EU guests, roaming should in general not incur additional charges.
