JM Coetzee in Poznań

This week we were honoured to share the company, not only of Nobel prize-winner JM Coetzee, but also of the esteemed professors David Attwell and Derek Atteridge, both eminent Coetzee scholars.

Professor Coetzee was in Poznań for the premiére of the opera Slow Man, based on his novel of the same name. On Friday, a discussion panel called 'Literature Towards the World' featured professors Koch, Atteridge and Attwell, focussing on the work of JM Coetzee.

On Monday, Adam Mickiewicz University awarded an honorary doctorate to professor Coetzee, allowing staff the opportunity to meet the writer in person.
