To his Excellency General Sir Rufin /
Shaw Donkin Knt Commanding of his Majesty /
Military Forces and Acting Govenor Cape of Good Hope /
The Memorialest humble begs that /
his Excellancy will take into Consideration the /
unpleasantry of being exposed to the Insults of /
the Head of a Party in consequence of his Superiority /
in Strength has threatened to strike me in Consequence /
of that I have moved to another Party whare I hope /
your Excellance will be pleased to allow me to /
receive my Grant has the Land of the party /
joins each other. The Party that I have joined /
is M\r./ Scott and since my being there I have /
been informed my wishes will not be granted and /
therefore hope your Excellancy will be pleased to /
take into consideration my situation with a Wife /
and young Family in a new Colony as it will in /
all provibilety be my Ruin since my Removal /
I have all my Gardning seed in the Ground besides /
a small Quantity of Wheat which should M\r/ Scott /
insist at any fuller time my Removal from the spot /
which he allowed me to remove to it will be useles+s /
of my doing any thing more untill your Excellency /
