&c. &c. &c.
The Memorial of William Dold
Humbly sheweth
That Memorialist having solicited
his Excellency for a colonial pass some time
ago, and having received no answer, humbly
hopeth his Excellency will not think
memorialist too importunate, should His
Excellency have received it. but Memorialist
humbly stateth that he thinks
that from circumstances unavoidable, it
could not have arrived at His Excellencys
office. Memorialist humbly sheweth
that he is by trade a Carpenter and
Builder, and having business in hand
which will cause him shortly, to visit
Cape town, and its adjoining one, Memorialist
humbly prayeth, His Excellency
will be pleased to grant him a Colonial
Pass, to enable him so to do, and
Memorialist as in duty
bound will ever pray
