The Memorial of Alexander
Kidwell Humbly sheweth.
That your Memorialist came to
this colony as a settler in the party
under the direction of Wm Holder
That your memorialist has Kept
a considerable portion of his ground
in cultivation to the present time
but from the successive failure of his
crops he has been obliged to exchange
his stock for a Waggon and Oxen, that
by the Working of which he might be able
to support meet his heavy expences, occasioned
by the mental derangement of his Wife,
which has lasted 22 months.
Memorialist wishing to stock
his ground with cattle humbly
requests your Excellency will grant him
a Loan of Rds 1000. and the requisite
Security will be given.
And your Memorialist will
as in duty bound ever pray
