in Chief of His Majestys Forces

The Memoralist Thurston Whittle Most
Respectfully therwith, that a Person
Named Jas. Thos. Erith. became in the Course
of time indebted to your Memoralist, in
the Sum of Ninety four Rix Dollars two
Shillings. And after a long Procrasted
Law suit he obtain a Sentence for the
above Amount against the Said Erith.
in about April 1822. _ Since that Period
your Memoralist has been constantly employ
in endevouring to get the Money by every
legal Measure, but the deceit and Rogery
of Erith baffles all Law, and I am at
this time a Larger creditor than at first
having paid all Law. Expences __ the
Court of Landross and the Agent of the
Sequestrator has done every thing that I
believe could be done for the recovery of
the Sum, but tho the impossibility of
getting at his property (he having Secreted
nearly the whole) it is next to impossibility
to recover the Sum. ____ Your Memoralist
can fully prove that he has had frequently
the means of paying the Amount
and at this time has plenty of Money ___

Your Memoralist therefore most
humbly begs that Your Excellency
will be pleased to take it into your
Consideration and order the Confinement of Jas. Thos. Erith. in the Town
Prison, as he at this time is at Large
and frequently Making large Purcheses
in this Market for Ready Money.

in duty bound to pray.
