The Memorial of James Murray

Humbly Sheweth
That your Memorialist has had
unfortunately taken from him thirty
Nine head of Cattle by the Caffres, and
has lost about twenty four more by
the Storm &c. _
That your Memorialist has
still left about Sixty head of Cattle
and has ten Acres of Ground in a good
State of Cultivation _
That your Memorialist humbly
prays your Excellency will be pleased
to grant him a Loan of Six hundred
Rix Dollars _ for which he will give
good Security, And your
Memorialist as in duty bound
will ever pray &c. &c.
