Wright, William

To His Excellency Sir R. S. Donkin K. C. B.
Acting Governor and Commander in Chief of the Forces
Cape of Good Hope. &c. &c. &c.
The Memorial of William Wright
Humbly Sheweth.
The Memorialist on enquiry
finding that the papers relative to a piece of Grund
granted to him by your Excellency at Sundays River for
the purpose of Building an Inn _ had been forwarded
to Cape Town for Completion, on return of which Memorialist
intends immediately to commence Building but
finds himself still in need of a little further encouragement
from your Excellency. _ as thus the Pacht this
last year, Sold so much above its Value that it would
be impossible to make it pay, and without which a
person keeping an Inn, would feel a very great loss. _
Memorialist fearing the Consequence of the Pacht
being sold by Auction would beg your Excellency to
state a price for it, for a Year or Two until a
little Established, and by which Memorialist shall
most gratefully abide. _ and as in duty bound will
ever pray. _

Your Memorialist begs to state to your
Excellency the price that the Pacht sold for the
Two last years _viz. _
