The urgency of my Circumstances &
the near prospect of my family being reduced
to Want could alone justify
this intrusion, which is for the purpose
of enquiring whether the Colonial Govert.
will permit Mr. Parker as the head
of this party of Settlers to Return my
Deposit Money and that of my party
consisting of Ten Families in liquidation
of a private demand, as has been
threatened by that Gentn altho the
debt in question was incurred under
particular circumstances, and with an
understanding that I whould not be
So immediately Required to discharge
