govern of the Colony of the Cape of good
Hope &c. &c. &c
The Memoriel of Peter Vallentine shoemker of
the Nottingham Party of setlers Humbly
Sheweth that your Memorialist about six
weeks since Petitioned your Excellency to be
allowed the sum of five Hundred Rix
Dollers But your Memorielist has not as yet
Had answer to the said Memoriel your
Memorielist Humbly Prays that i may
have an Early answer to the said
Petition as i have been erecting a new
House and Making Preperations for the
Extension of my farm and of my trade
Cattel of which i will be unable to ad
unless it Pleases your Excellency to grant
the prayer of my Petition for whitch

i will give Responsible security if
granted your your Memorialist and
my famely is in Duty Bound
will Ever Pray
