The Humble Memorial of William Miller
Humbly Shewith
That your Memorialist is one
of Mr Hh. Sephtons party of Settlers and deposited Five
Pounds in the hands of Government in London for
his son who was an apprentice whose master first
gave consent but when the time came to imbark
refused and was left behind _
That your memorialist is a poor man and Borrowd
the money of a man who now demands payment _
wich in consequence of the Failure wich he has indevoured
to maintain on his Location ) he is unable
to do except your Excellency will in compasion
command that the remaining two deposits be paid
having received the first, your petitioner has
not received neither rations, nor stores, for his son
and therefore humbly Intreats your Excellency to
consider his case and deside according to charity
And your Memorialist as in duty bound
will ever pray &c &c _
