Having learned from Mr Rogers that the
provisions and bedding issued from the public
Stores are to be deducted from the Second instalment
of the deposit money, I take the liberty of stating to
your Excellency that I have taken a Small farm
Roode Bloom) near Cape Town, as the best mode, under
existing circumstances, of avoiding farther expence
and inconvenience in supporting myself and people,
and as the purchase of Stock, &. for this purpose
will require a considerable Sum, I solicit from
Your Excellency the indulgence of having the
deductions made from the third instalment.
