May it please your Excellency _
The Memorial of Isaac Dyason Senior of
Port Francis on the Kowie.
Humbly Sheweth
That your Memorialist having
purchased an Erf at this Port, and having become
a resident there is very desirous to obtain an
an employment, and should it be your Excellencys
intention to appoint Persons to various situations
there that may be wanted; He humbly begs leave
to offer himself a Candidate for One _
That your Memorialist having
received a Letter from Your Excellency stating
that Sir B. T. Farguhan had written to you
on my behalf, and that you would bear his
recommendation in Mind when I could point
out any thing to suit one, induces me to hope
that your Excellency may be pleased to appoint me
to something that I may be Competent to, and that
may benefit my Family, for which if granted we
shall as in Duty bound ever Pray _
