Family Reduced to the greatest distress _
That yr. Memts Son is now
able to take care of the Location which is in good
& which your Memt improved very much _
That a Vacancy has occurred
in the Somerset Establishment by Mr Johnsons
having been appointed Harbour Master at the
Kowie _
That your Memt is fully
qualified and Mr Hart the Superintendant of that
Establishment to whom yr Memt has written by
this post will certainly recommend your Memt
as a proper person for this Situation and your
Excellencys Lord Major Somerset has most
Humanely procured to recommend your Memorialist to

That from letters your Memorialist
Received from Mr Secretary Peel your Memt is
certain ere now your Excellency must have
Received recommendations from Lord Bathurst
in respect to your Memorialist _
Your Memorialist therefore
