In obedience to the command
of His Excellency the acting Governor,
conveyed to me by your letter
of the 19th. Inst. I have the honor to
transmit to you for His Excellencys
Information three Lists viz :
No. 1 _ List of my present party
. 2 _ List of the persons for whom
I paid Deposit money in part
of the 1,240.
. 3_ List of the persons to whom
I was to have distributed only
fifty acres of land. _
The party of which I was
formerly the head, continued in Such
a State of fluctuation that it has
hitherto been impossible for me to
forward to your correct Lists of the
parties formed for His Excellencys

&c. _&c. _&c. _

information. As soon as the
formation of the parties shall be
completed I will lose no time in
transmitting the return.
With reference to the Deposit
money, I take the liberty of observing
to you that there are many persons
who have already left the party,
others who are on the point of
leaving it, who all look to me for
the remainder of their deposit money
and for the liquidation of their
accounts.
I regret that persons who
came from England with me, should
have so far misrepresented any part
of my conduct to His Excellency the
acting Governor, as to induce him to
command the insertion of the concluding
Paragraph of the letter with which
you honored me on the 19th. Inst.
