The Memorial of William Dold /
Humbly sheweth /
That Memorialist having solicited /
his Excellency for a colonial pas+s some time /
ago, and having received no answer, humbly /
hopeth his Excellency will not think /
memorialist too importunate, should His /
Excellency have received it. but Memo=rialist /
humbly stateth that he thinks /
that from circumstances unavoidable, it /
could not have arrived at His Excellency’s /
office. Memorialist humbly sheweth /
that he is by trade a Carpenter and /
Builder, and having busines+s in hand /
which will cause him shortly, to visit /
Cape town, and its adjoining one, Memo=rialist /
humbly prayeth, His Excellency /
will be pleased to grant him a Colonial /
Pas+s, to enable him so to do, and /
Memorialist as in duty /
bound will ever pray /
