Kidwell Humbly sheweth. //
That your Memorialist came to //
this colony as a settler in the party //
under the direction of W\m/ Holder //
That your memorialist has Kept //
a considerable portion of his ground //
in cultivation to the present time //
but from the succes+sive failure of his //
crops he has been obliged to exchange //
his stock for a Waggon and Oxen, that //
by the Working of which he might be able //
to {support} >>meet<< his heavy expences, occasioned //
by the mental derangement of his Wife, //
which has lasted 22 months. //
Memorialist wishing to stock //
his ground with cattle humbly //
requests your Excellency will grant him //
a Loan of Rds 1000. and the requisite //
Security will be given. //
