The Memorial of William Wright /
Humbly Sheweth. /
The Memorialist on enquiry /
finding that the papers relative to a piece of Grund /
granted to him by your Excellency at Sundays River for /
the purpose of Building an Inn _ had been forwarded /
to Cape Town for Completion, on return of which Memo=rialist /
intends immediately to commence Building but /
finds himself still in need of a little further encourage=ment /
from your Excellency. _ as thus the Pacht this /
last year, Sold so much above its Value that it would /
be impossible to make it pay, and without which a /
person keeping an Inn, would feel a very great los+s. _ /
Memorialist fearing the Consequence of the Pacht /
being sold by Auction would beg your Excellency to /
state a price for it, for a Year or Two until a /
little Established, and by which Memorialist shall /
most gratefully abide. _ and as in duty bound will /
ever pray. _ /

Your Memorialist begs to state to your /
Excellency the price that the Pacht sold for the /
Two last years _viz. _ /
