humbly sheweth /
That your memorialist came to /
this Colony, in the Party under the direction /
of Mes+s\rs./ Brown 7+ Stubbs from whom /
he has obtained his discharge. /
That your memorialist having occasion /
in the way of busines+s to visit other Districts /
contiguous to that of Albany, humbly /
requests your Excellency to grant him a /
Colonial pas+s for that purpose, and also /
that it may be transmited to Colonel Cuyler /
Landdrost of Uitenhage, your memorialist /
having been for some time resident in /
